Justin Bua
Artist, author & creator of The DJ and the look of NBA Street
Justin Bua is an artist, author, speaker and entrepreneur best known for The DJ, one of the most popular fine art prints of all time, and for creating the look and characters of EA Sports' NBA Street. He grew up a latchkey kid in New York City, writing graffiti and breakdancing in the streets while his grandfather, a comic-strip letterer, and his painter mother filled their home with the old masters. After studying at ArtCenter in Pasadena, he designed skateboards, record covers, magazine spreads and the opening sequence of MTV's Lyricist Lounge. His latest work is The Book of Hip Hop (Justin Bua Version), a 30-year project of 150 paintings, 700 drawings and 100 essays.
