00:00:02.640 - 00:00:54.440
Mellie Newbeck is a devoted student to the art of knowing herself. Truly, madly, deeply obsessed with all things psychology, philosophy, and the paradox that is life.
She blends a student's mindset with strategic action to her everyday life, packing in as much experience as possible, building a diverse tool set for soul inquiry. Mellie uses a no BS approach to guide people into the same kind of honest self inquiry that has shaped her own growth.
To cut through the noise, identify what's real, and show up for themselves and in their relationships with authenticity and intention.
You can usually find her reading, writing, talking, cooking, spending time with her favorite people, cats and chickens, or channeling her creativity as an entrepreneur and co host of Celestial Curiosities, where she brings humor, curiosity, and grounded insight to the arts of self awareness through astrology. Mellie, welcome to he for the Truth.
Meli
00:00:55.080 - 00:00:59.640
Thanks for having me, Joel, and your awesomeos. I'm so happy to be here.
Yerasimos
00:00:59.800 - 00:01:06.120
We love having you here real quickly because reading your bio, you said truly, madly, deeply. Was there, like, a Savage Garden song that was. That.
Meli
00:01:06.120 - 00:01:06.280
That.
Yerasimos
00:01:06.280 - 00:01:07.480
I was like, I knew one of.
Meli
00:01:07.480 - 00:01:08.360
You would pick it up.
Yerasimos
00:01:08.440 - 00:01:17.920
And it was like. It was totally like the song of my eighth grade dance, I think. And like my date we always talked about. That was the song. That was our.
Our song anyways, there.
Joel
00:01:17.920 - 00:01:18.440
Aussie.
Yerasimos
00:01:19.960 - 00:01:20.800
I had no idea.
Joel
00:01:20.800 - 00:01:21.280
Oh, really?
Meli
00:01:21.280 - 00:01:30.600
I just learned that recently. And that, I feel like is the soundtrack to. Anybody from our generation has a. It's from my eighth grade. Ninth grade slow dance. It was the song.
Yerasimos
00:01:31.640 - 00:01:32.360
I love it.
Meli
00:01:32.440 - 00:01:32.880
Yeah.
Joel
00:01:32.880 - 00:01:33.240
What?
Yerasimos
00:01:33.320 - 00:01:38.760
Well, my. When. My eighth grade dance was. When did that song come out? Because my eighth grade dance, Joel was probably three years old, I think.
Joel
00:01:39.160 - 00:01:41.560
Well, mine was. Mine was Teenage D bag.
Yerasimos
00:01:42.200 - 00:01:44.120
Oh, yeah. That's a good.
Meli
00:01:44.720 - 00:01:53.120
I was. I was big into R B really, at that time, so. But I don't know when that was. That would have probably been like mid-90s, I would think. Mid to late 90s.
Yerasimos
00:01:54.080 - 00:01:54.960
Yeah. Cool.
Meli
00:01:55.040 - 00:01:55.520
Yeah.
Joel
00:01:55.520 - 00:02:16.070
Nice, Melly. Ah. Well, as you know, we always like to kick off these conversations by diving deep into your personal hero's journey.
Some of the major rites of passage that have kind of led you into the person that you are today. So wherever you feel called to start with this kind of story and let's unpack.
Meli
00:02:17.350 - 00:08:13.810
Yeah, let's do it. I was thinking about this earlier and could not decide where to start, and it just kept coming to me.
I'm in a family constellation facilitator training now, and I don't know if that's sort of encouraging this, but I Feel like the fact that my parents chose to move to the United States and have me and my brother here was a huge start of. Of my story and how I feel like my entire life has been sort of inspired by possibility. Them taking the curry just moved to leave their families.
They're from Venezuela and come over to Boston, which is where I'm from. And my brother's six years older than I am.
And then they had me in 1988, and we lived in a one bedroom apartment, the four of us, with my grandmother and my aunt nearby. It's a very small family unit, and my mom was a teacher. So I grew up going to a private Montessori school in a very affluent community.
And I feel like I can just really pull on this thread of seeing the full spectrum of life and the full opportunity that was available to me without really understanding it. But I took that and sort of ran with, like, whoa, I can do anything however I want. And this is sort of how things have always unfolded for me.
But I would say that the first major catalyst for me was when I was in my early 20s. I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. And I feel like at this point in time, this is like a.
A tale as old as time, which is really sad, at least over here in the US where we get some sort of terrible diagnosis and then we get maltreated by the industrial allopathic complex, for lack of a better term. And essentially, I was diagnosed with Crohn's, and I was put on. I went from being, like, relatively healthy, just having this kind of.
To 16 pills a day for, I don't even know, maybe four or five years, until I was like, wow, this is, like, really not working. Something's gotta change. And at this point, I'd had multiple hospitalizations. In 2014, I ended up having a surgery, part of my small bowel removed.
And I was kind of like, at my lowest, really, until that surgery was a catalyst for, like, okay, I'm gonna. This is gonna be the turning point. And I remember walking into my gastroenterologist's office at the time, and I said, all right, so what's next?
And he said, well, you're going to be on this injection for at least the next few years, maybe the rest of your life, but you'll always be on something because this is chronic and that. That's it. And I was 27, and I just remember thinking, wow, that's like, for sure not the answer.
And I just said, thank you, and I walked out and I Stopped taking anything from that point forward, at least any pharmaceutical, and was dedicated to figure out what the fuck else I could do in my, my own, you know, taking radical self responsibility for my health. And so I found traditional Chinese medicine first and then I went on to Ayurvedic.
And then all of a sudden I was having like energy healing sessions and putting, you know, black rocks in my water and fractal stickers on my water bottles, like anything and everything. I was just all in on figuring out how, how I could heal myself. And that has continued to be a thread for sure because that's never done right.
But through that I'd say some of the major things that occurred where I met my husband, and coming from a divorced set of parents who I didn't really have an example for what a happy marriage looked like. I never really knew if that was like it for me. And I fell so quickly into what has been one of the most purposeful.
Yeah, relationships in my life for sure. I would not have been able to do basically anything I've done the last 10 years that we've been married without him.
And I am so grateful for what that continues to teach me and how that was clearly part of my soul's path in this life was to experience this kind of deep love and commitment that I didn't even know I was capable of. Together we've started a business. I've had a photography business for ten years. Uh, the two, the two of us again.
A major piece of this thread for me is, is succeeding through partnership. And we have done the Tony Robbins stuff together. We've done yoga teacher training together.
Um, it's like when we're on our next thing, I like, I can't imagine moving forward without him by my side. And we do that in our own individual ways, but then we've done them together in some of the most powerful ways.
So some of those things I just mentioned have been really big parts of my growth as well, I would say.
And then 2020, of course I remember everything shutting down and being in photography, you can imagine I had no clients and I thought, okay, this would be like a really good time. I had been building the plane while I was flying it and I thought I should like get my systems in place, make the business a little more organized.
And then I always joke that it's like a jump cut in a movie to like, I was like surrounded by like pizza boxes and astrology books. I'm like, how did I get here? Like all of a sudden that was just My obsession.
And I was taking every course I could, reading every book I could, started mentorship, sort of internship with the first woman who ever read my chart. And as you guys know, I'm a manifesting generator. 4, 6. I do not stick with things. It's all over my astrology too.
And so the fact that I was sticking to this and I couldn't get enough, I knew meant like, okay, my soul's on fire with this. I gotta keep moving. And so that was a huge opening for me. And at that same time, I met a woman named Jodi Meshuck.
I don't know if you guys have actually ever had her on the show, if you know her, but that's how I met our mutual friend Alec Zeck, and how I got into the.
The health freedom space and got heavily involved in health freedom for humanity, planning events, traveling all over, meeting some of the most incredible people, including yourselves. You came into the fold a little bit later down the line.
But, yeah, it's so fun to look back and think, like, if that hadn't happened and that hadn't happened, like, we wouldn't be sitting here. And so those are. Those are some of the major points I would say for me, I love it.
Yerasimos
00:08:14.290 - 00:08:17.650
You're really good at telling stories. Do you have the storytelling channel and your human design?
Meli
00:08:18.000 - 00:08:20.160
Um, you know what? I actually do. It's fully defined.
Yerasimos
00:08:20.240 - 00:08:23.680
Oh, wow. So it's amazing that I picked up. Pick picked up on that.
Meli
00:08:23.680 - 00:08:28.280
I know you're so. You're so intuitive like that, but I love it.
Yerasimos
00:08:28.280 - 00:09:13.490
I love what you hit on is like something obviously we always talk about is like, the one thing leads to the next thing, the next thing to the next thing. And that when you are just paying attention to the thing that you. You're drawn to and that excites you.
And then, like, the opportunities that come up and the people that cross your path, the relationships that are built, like, it's just like, to me, that's the magic of life.
And so it's like, if you're not answering those little micro calls, I mean, some are big, but a lot of them are like, micro, you know, the call of your soul, of your spirit to pick up the book, to take the class, to, like, go on the trip. Like, it's like, what. What is an individual missing? And so, you know, it's. It's nice to hear that. And I'm so grateful that we met.
I mean, it was confluence, right? The first confluence. We met. So like, two little over two years ago, something like that.
Meli
00:09:13.490 - 00:09:15.930
2020? Yeah. October 2023.
Yerasimos
00:09:16.330 - 00:09:17.130
Okay, cool.
Meli
00:09:17.530 - 00:09:39.730
Yeah, but I'm glad you said that, because the micro. It really is that.
I mean, I've had some major stuff happen, but it's like every step of the way, I can look back and with, you know, that 2020 hindsight, be like, shit. You know, I was. I was really, every step of the way trying to. To genuinely find myself. That's all I've ever been trying to do.
And then I just pivot based on what works and what doesn't.
Yerasimos
00:09:39.730 - 00:09:40.090
And.
Meli
00:09:40.420 - 00:09:45.940
But that's been the guiding light is how do I be my most authentic self? So what does.
Joel
00:09:46.180 - 00:09:49.700
What does that mean to you? Like, to find. To find yourself?
Meli
00:09:50.580 - 00:11:14.560
Yeah, man, it's a good question. And in some ways it's so simple, and in some ways it's so deep. But I will use an example that made me smile yesterday.
So, as you know, I'm rereading Atlas Shrugged, and I'm rereading the first at least like, 400 pages. And then it will be new to me, but I'm still at the part where I was highlighting stuff. And yesterday I got to a line that.
That was the Socratic paradox. You know, the more that you know, the more you realize you know nothing. And I had highlighted it, like, you could tell.
I highlighted it like 10 times, like, it's super dark. And then I put exclamation points next to it. I was like, I'm such a nerd. Like, wow.
But truly, there are a few things that have hit me that hard and made such an impact on the way that I see life. And it's that feeling that I. That I seek to know that I am finding myself. It's like, what makes me feel alive, what makes me feel on fire.
Because I'm good at a lot of things, and I have a high capacity for thinking and learning and connecting and all these things.
But because my capacity is so high, I have found myself many times doing things that are not meant for me just because I could, just because it did make me fulfilled for the moment. But the more I find those moments, something that simple, that makes me feel fucking alive, I'm like, okay, how do I get more of that?
So I feel like I'm in constant pursuit of that feeling for myself, and that's how I know that I'm connecting with me and who I'm supposed to be and what I'm supposed to do.
Yerasimos
00:11:15.040 - 00:11:55.880
Yeah, that's really cool. And I want to add to that, too. Like, it's.
There's such A fine line between doing something because you're just lit up by it because you're a human being, and it just feels good with what we all do, maybe sometimes still, or we have. It's like doing something so then we can show people that we have value and that, you know, we're worthy and that, hey, pat me on the back, like me.
Tell me how smarter and creative I am, you know, And I think that's such a.
It's such a, like, nuanced way to move through life on this personal development path is, like, really understanding the motivation for why we do the things we do. And I just feel like that's such a thing that so many people, myself included, like, have to dance with.
Joel
00:11:55.960 - 00:12:08.180
What does that discernment process look like for you?
Like, when I'm doing something purely for pats and other instances where it's kind of intertwined, where, like, I am drawn towards something and there's a sense of approval that I want to get from that as well.
Meli
00:12:09.060 - 00:13:56.690
Well, it took me a long time to decide that I was okay with admitting that I like recognition, because I think that we're like, there's a. A large part of society and just that we're raised, especially, like, in the school system.
Like, you're there to do what you're there to do, and you're not there to, like, necessarily be recognized. Now it's actually different. Back. Back when we were kids, there was. That was not it. We were not getting, you know, participation trophies. Right.
So I had to sort of deconstruct what I believed was bad or not okay to what was just really me. And that was a part of it, as well as that feeling that I just described. Like, it's pretty easy to discern when I feel that or when I don't.
The question is, how do I get closer to it? So it's deepening the intuition to say, I feel that itch. I feel that goosebump. I feel that thing that's like, oh, I'm moving in the right direction.
And then honestly, basking in that recognition when you do get it, like, okay, wow, I'm feeling it for myself. First. I got that spark. I got that, like, juicy kind of just electricity.
And then it only motivates me more if I'm already on my path and people are acknowledging it now, if people are acknowledging me for something that I'm doing well. But I know I'm not getting that spark. That is where human design connected with me the most. I feel so frustrated.
I feel so Stuck that I am like, fuck, I got myself into something and how do I get out of this and then not disappoint people? And I. I'm like, okay, I put myself here. This. I have nobody to blame but myself.
So now the goal is like, how do I put myself in those situations less. By putting myself in the situations that make me feel amazing first. And that's what I'm. That's what I'm doing. And I'm like, deep. I feel like that.
I feel like a snowball right now that that's just picking up steam and I can't wait to see how it continues to unfold.
Yerasimos
00:13:57.860 - 00:14:51.030
Yeah, it's like, what comes first, you know, like, just like gratitude for the fact that you're a human being and you have interest and you're excitement and you're doing the thing. And then, oh, wow, people are into this. People like it. And people are sending me text messages or coming up to me and.
And you know, saying lovely things or sending emails. And I think that's like the order of it as opposed to, like, how am I gonna get people's approval and how am I gonna get people to like me?
You know, it's like, I even think about it in our situation. Like, we like just sat on these chairs.
Joel was on the other side of the world, and we were just start talking and then like, I forget sometimes that this goes out to lots of people now. In the beginning, maybe not tons of people. And then like, you get these emails of people.
I found your podcast like six months ago and I just binged it and like, thank you so much. It changed my life. And you're like, oh, wow.
It's not like I'm like doing the things I'm doing because I want everyone to tell me that their lives change, but it's like the side effect of following like your bliss or your weird or whatever you want to call it.
Meli
00:14:51.650 - 00:15:51.060
Yeah, totally. That example too, with our. With our podcast. I'll say we. That was like the first thing I can think of in my adult life.
Started with two of my girlfriends, Maggie and Lisa, and it was like the first thing I'd done that I wasn't doing for money. Like, I'm just all I'm so motivated by. Like, I love to make money. I think it's fun. I love starting businesses. I think it's super fun.
Like, I love bringing people together. And I just. There was always something attached to it monetarily.
And we actually, at the first confluence, we came up with the idea for our podcast Lustral Curiosities. And I totally geeked out about the structure of it as if it was a business, but we were like, nah, this is a passion project.
We're just doing this shit for fun. And now, like you said, we get the coolest messages.
Like the other day, somebody messaged us to say that she spent like hundreds of dollars on some astrology class. And then she binged our podcast in like two weeks and learned more in our podcast than she did from her class. And I was like, that's really cool.
So, yeah, I. I resonate with that big time.
Yerasimos
00:15:51.780 - 00:16:25.300
Podcast podcasts, I feel like, are like the. The next.
Like, as people are learning so much from podcasts and learning in non traditional ways and getting more value than like, coming up through the conventional academic system or going to college. And, you know, I'm not saying there aren't things you can't learn there, but I just feel like the, The.
The dynamic conversations, the personal experiences, the lived experiences that people are sharing day in, day out, day out on all the different podcasts, like, that just lands in a different way than like reading some book and some boring professor standing at the. In the front of the room that's just like telling you how to live and what to think.
Joel
00:16:25.780 - 00:16:57.310
Yeah, totally. And it really gives the listener the opportunity to find voices that they resonate with.
Like people who ask questions that they would ask, who kind of think like them, who are kind of on the same trail. You know, you can kind of pick your path in that kind of sense. And of course, discernment is required in that process as well.
Hey, Mellie, I guess going back to astrology in the beginning, what was it about astrology that just really spoke to you and lit you up? And what was that? Sustenance through that path?
Meli
00:16:58.350 - 00:19:23.860
Yeah, Fun nugget.
My aunt, not by blood, she was married into the family, but my aunt in Venezuela, when I was visiting, I think I was about seven or eight years old, she had a radio show that they were canceling. And they said, well, actually are putting a different show in its place. It's an astrology show and we'll give it to you.
Except for do you know anything about astrology? Or you'd have to learn. And she still wanted to keep her radio show. So she was like, I'll figure it out. And I remember her telling me this.
It was right at that time, and so she was studying it, and she's telling me about it, and I'm eight. I was like, what are you talking about? This is crazy, but I thought it was so interesting.
Also not to mention that I do speak fluent Spanish, but like, you know, when you don't speak, like that's still not your primary, primary language, like the names of the planets and shit. I was like, what? This sounds crazy. It never left my brain.
And so then in 2020, when really it felt like all of a sudden out of nowhere, I was just obsessed. I, I really went kind of crazy. Like I have.
So I have, I don't know, like 50 books and I've probably read half of them or I'm like halfway through half of them, right. Like I just kept myself surrounded by it at all times. I found voices like you were just saying that really resonated with me.
I started getting tarot decks and oracle decks and just figuring out how all of this like esoteric, just intuitive magic worked and how I could co. Co create with it. And I love learning, but I've never loved learning. Like you were saying your osmos.
Like I do not want to sit at a desk, I do not want to listen to what you're telling me to know. I want to be able to ask and I want to get curious and I want, I always want to learn the things I want to learn.
And this, honestly, it found me, it latched onto me in like a, in a way that I couldn't have shaken it off if I wanted to. And so it honestly hasn't been hard to sustain.
What has been really interesting for me right now is like I said then taking it into the celestial curiosities realm.
Because before I started reading like professionally, I probably read about 200, maybe 250 charts before I felt like I can do this for real, for people and they'll really get value out of it.
So I was obsessively like Matt got to the point like we would go to dinner with friends and be like, oh my God, how fast is she going to ask them their birth time? Like this is going to be a problem for the rest of my life. Question mark.
But I, I, yeah, I just have been relentless with it and it, I don't know, it's the best way I can describe it. I think it found me.
Joel
00:19:26.260 - 00:19:48.270
And so how do I bridge this question? What is your, I guess, unique flavor of astrology?
I know you come from a very kind of psychological and archetypal place, which is a place which I like to come from as well. What is your I guess, 101 to kind of start bridging into this astrology conversation here?
Meli
00:19:48.750 - 00:22:58.880
Yeah. So I say that I practice a mix of psychological and evolutionary.
I certainly started in psychological, which is like, hey, your Mercury is in Scorpio. So you're a deep thinker and you have an intense mind.
We break down the psychological archetypes of how the zodiac sign affects you because of the moment you were born. Great. I'm obsessed with relationships and communication. So then taking that a step further, I was extremely interested.
Okay, well, when person A and person B come together and their two archetypes in psychologies are merging, what does that look like?
And then when I learned evolutionary psychology, who I've studied under Steven Forrest, I just became like, whoa, this is like the whole next level, right? Because we're looking at the soul's path.
And then it was really when I started doing real readings that I realized the number one feedback that I received that I'm most proud of is, whoa, that was better than a therapy session. And I never. I don't go into this for that, Right. But what I do realize, I've.
I've always been that one of those people who holds a safe space easily for people to just go in, right? Like, I'm like buying a water bottle at 7:11, and the guy starts telling me about, like, whatever drama happened like, an hour ago.
And then he's like, what the. Why am I telling you this? And I'm like, I don't know, but all's good, man. Like, go forth.
And I, like, drop some sort of, like, little wisdom that I feel like is the nugget they need. And then I move on with my world.
That's the person I've always been for my friends, for people who have come in and out of my lives, for family members. Like, I hold that space in a way that just feels very natural to me. And so I do that in the reading room, if you will, as well.
And I find that I think that's the special sort of a thing.
And I think it's by way of collaboration and curiosity, because I start every reading by saying there's nothing I can tell you that you don't already know at a soul level. And we're just going to dive in and I'm going to ask questions as we go because that helps me build my data bank, because I'll see something.
And I don't fucking know how that actually presents in your life. I just know that it involves fire and water. And so I wonder. It could feel like this, but I want to hear from you, how does that feel?
And that, I think, gives an Invitation to people, to. I'm not like, some guru, like, teaching.
I. I can teach you some stuff because I know a lot about this, but, like, this really is a story about you, and I'm here to help sort of unravel some pieces. I've had many astrology readings, and so often they do feel like the astrologer is trying to be your fortune teller.
They don't often give you the reason as to why they're saying something. They'll be kind of vague in the response. And I think that's the main reason that astrology got a bad rap for a long time.
Also that I think it got overly generalized. And it's not a general practice, really. It's very nuanced.
And so I bring all of that forth, and I'm just like, hey, here are all the facets of what this is and how we can work together. And really, I just want to help you get to know yourself better, because that's what this has done for me. And I think that resonates because it's.
It's not coming from anywhere that's not relatable. It's actually quite relatable. So. Yeah, go ahead.
Yerasimos
00:22:59.040 - 00:23:42.090
No, I was just gonna say, you know, I've had a reading with you, and I've had a bunch of readings in my life, and I just really like how grounded you are. I love how you teach also as you give a reading, but, like, not teaching in this, like, boring way.
But it's like, I understood my chart, I think, better just by how you explain things. And I. I really appreciated that element of it. It didn't seem like too much. It didn't seem like you were going too fast. Like, it.
Yeah, it really landed and really resonated, which I think is also why, like, we connected more deeply and, you know, you've come into friends of the truth. Like, I just. I. I like how you go about things in your own.
In your own process and how you bring it back to the individual, which is, you know, the name of the game.
Meli
00:23:43.050 - 00:23:44.970
Hell, yeah. Thanks, man. I appreciate that.
Joel
00:23:46.970 - 00:24:14.210
Yeah, totally. I would say the same thing. I find your readings to be super practical and really in language that is relatable and understandable, for sure.
I'm curious, like, on a deeper level, like, obviously, we've had conversations of this ilk before, but what are the primary ways that knowing your personal birth chart has supported you in your life, thinking back to yourself pre that knowledge?
Meli
00:24:15.490 - 00:24:44.950
Yeah. So I'll give a couple of specific examples because they really help for Example, I have a few planets in Gemini, okay?
And there's that joke you guys shared, that meme the other day. It's like, people hear about astrology, and it's like, Gemini and Scorpio. We're like, are we the bad guys?
I mean, it's the two of you, which, honestly, it's, like, so true that people. If you ask most people, like, what sign don't you like?
Which I don't know why that question comes up, but, like, Gemini and Scorpio are absolutely some of the main answers.
Yerasimos
00:24:44.950 - 00:24:45.830
Wait, wait, what?
Meli
00:24:47.110 - 00:24:48.150
You didn't know this?
Yerasimos
00:24:48.310 - 00:24:55.750
I mean, fun, entertaining, intellectually stimulating, light, playful. And people don't like us.
Meli
00:24:56.070 - 00:24:57.390
I mean, that sure tells you this.
Yerasimos
00:24:57.390 - 00:24:58.870
Where did you learn astrology?
Meli
00:25:00.690 - 00:25:02.770
The state. It's the state of the world is the problem.
Yerasimos
00:25:02.930 - 00:25:03.650
I hear you.
Meli
00:25:04.290 - 00:27:47.330
Shit.
So anyway, my brother is a Gemini son, and he has all of the charm and the wit and all those things, but also Gemini, they can be very good storytellers and can be very good embellishers as well. He is such a good embellisher. It's never with malice. It's to make the story better. Like, that's all it is, right?
So, you know, me growing up with him my whole life, like, it got to the point where in my teens, like, he'd be telling a story, and I'm sitting there and I'm like, oh, my God, people are believing this. And I was there, like, only, like, 40% of this actually happened that way. But they're laughing and it's like, great.
And so, I don't know, I built, like, this resentment toward Gemini. And then the first time I pulled up my chart, I was like, fuck me. Like, I'm a Gemini moon, Venus in Gemini, Chiron. Like, I was.
I am very Gemini, actually. And so I got into this crazy unpacking process just on my Gemini archetype and how that was that.
That was a mirror to my brother and all these things. And I was just like, wow, that's way deeper than I ever would have imagined.
And it deepened my connection with him as well and made that a much lighter thing for me, right?
So that's, like, one example, let's say, when I learned about evolutionary astrology and I learned that the nodes, the lunar nodes south and north of the moon tell us about our soul's path, our karma that we're coming in from. What's the Dharma that we're working on in this life and shit, man? I have no other planets in either of my nodal houses.
Which are Virgo and Pisces, which really allowed me to quickly understand those archetypes and see them within myself in a way that was like, oh, this is deep shit. Like, I can totally see how I'm living with that karma and how I.
How I could and need to sort of disconnect from that Virgo energy and then how uncomfortable I feel with this Pisces stuff. What does it even mean?
And for me, it's in my fourth house, which is about family and roots and legacy and home and my goodness from growing up in this very small space with my family that obviously I'm super grateful for. Like, I never needed for anything. But it was a very different world than what I've grown into and feeling, like, deserving of that.
And y' all know a teeny bit about, like, my process toward motherhood. Like, that's also represented here. And, like, it has just been.
Honestly, it's been so powerful in a retrospective way to look and then reflect and then decide how to move forward strategically from there versus just being like, oh, my life has been laid out for me. It just has made these themes in my life clear and given.
You know, it's fun to, like, get into the mythology and understand how this all presents and realize, like, wow, look how this is woven into my life, you know? So I would. I hope that answered the question.
Yerasimos
00:27:48.050 - 00:27:55.850
Well, I have a question, because obviously when we. If someone says astrology, like, it's like what Joel asked earlier. Like, what.
Joel
00:27:55.850 - 00:27:56.130
What.
Yerasimos
00:27:56.130 - 00:28:07.570
What has been your entry point? Like, there's so many different types, so many forms of astrology, and then you have tropical, and then you have sidereal, and.
And blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Like, so many different, like, subtypes, and.
Joel
00:28:07.810 - 00:28:10.210
And I'm like, that's my favorite type. The. The blah, blah, blah type.
Yerasimos
00:28:10.290 - 00:28:45.120
That's also my favorite is, like, I mean, I learned the most about myself do blah, blah, blah. You know what I mean? Yeah, but, like, what do you think I mean, again, I don't know if there's an answer.
Like, what draws a person to, like, no sidereal is. Is the truth. You know what I mean? Or like, no, no. Like, what I do is the truth. And is it more just of that thing of.
There's truth in a lot of it, but it's like the lens and the angle through which it comes at you. Like, what are your thoughts on all the different astrology and the debates that go within that.
Meli
00:28:45.440 - 00:30:26.660
Yeah. So on the most simple level way to answer that question, I believe so.
I always Say, right, the chart is a circle and so you can't remove any parts of the circle or else you don't have a complete circle. So we have all parts of these. And Joel, I love how you say it, that we're the walking cosmos, right? All of these are part of us. It's all within us.
Every single sign, every single planet exists somehow. So we have a resonance to it all, no matter where it sits in our chart.
So if sidereal or a different house system, for example, and I'll get into that super briefly in a moment, but if they say something different but you still find resonance in it, then it doesn't really surprise me all that much because we're pretty fucking complex. It's all in us anyway, depending on how stuck we are in our views or how open minded we are, which I am very open minded.
Sagittarius, Gemini and my big three. That's some of the most open minded you're gonna get.
Then I'm able to look at both sides of the coin, all sides of the thing, and be like, yeah, I can totally see that. So I know that about myself.
And then I know that if I'm looking at like a very stubborn earthly archetype, they're probably not gonna feel as fluid with that. And so I might not just bother getting into an argument with that person. Like, you're gonna, that's fine. But that's my overarching.
It's all within us anyway. So I think that that complexity, it's so nuanced. And that's the first part.
The second part being, I think you get drawn to whatever you're really resonant with. So I literally. The first book I picked up was called like, it wasn't actually called Astrology for Dummies, but it was something like that.
Like the Beginner's Astrology Guide to Blah blah Blah. By this blah blah blah, it's everywhere. The blah blah blah is everywhere.
Yerasimos
00:30:27.060 - 00:30:28.420
Life changing. Blah blah blah.
Meli
00:30:28.570 - 00:32:13.260
We should make a shirt that says blah blah blah. So I. Her name is Yasmin Bolan. She's an astrologer in the uk. It was just like the most easily broken down.
Like, it's what I needed at that moment to just like get my first entry in. And I was like, okay, this is simple.
And I literally, like, I think I still have that book somewhere and it's got these little like cap sticker bookmarks in like a million places. Because I would like, oh, let me just, you know, tab over to that page. And it was so simple. It was like she uses the whole sign house system.
That is what I still use. It's been used since Babylonian times. It is the most basic looking chart, super simple. All the houses take up the same amount of space. Okay, great.
Then all of a sudden like Ptolemy and mathematicians got involved and the sky got, you know, cut into different sizes because of angles and listen, if things get too complicated for me, I will stop paying attention. Like I just, it's, it's how I work. And so if, if I want to keep going on the thing, I'm going to go with what's most resonant.
So I stayed with what was most simple and it's never failed me. So I've stayed that way now on my journey.
Like Maggie, my co host on celestial curiosities, she practices in Placidus, which is a more complicated chart to look at. It's one of the mathematically broken down ones. And we still all of the time find overlap and can see how one fits on the other.
We'll often look at each other's charts in different and just like come up with different things based on what's going on in life. And it's fascinating. Like it's just interesting to look at things from different perspectives.
And then I've also had some really powerful Vedic readings that work in the sidereal system and work in a completely different chart. And like I'm a Scorpio rising instead of a Sagittarius. I can totally see that. And it's again a facet I think of how I see things.
But I do truly believe it's because it's all present within us anyway. And yeah, I think I'll leave it at that.
Joel
00:32:14.060 - 00:33:04.160
Yeah, no, I, I agree, I agree. We, I mean the human psyche is so incredibly complex.
I think at any given point in time, throughout the variety of varying stages of a person's life, they could resonate with any kind of reading ultimately. And I think the question that I want to ask next is like in based on that line of thinking, like at what point can, like.
Because I know some people come to systems like this and they're like, but I don't want to be boxed in, you know, kind of thing like at what point can it maybe become a crux or even can it be a form of overwhelm for an individual to try integrate all this knowledge now into their daily life, which seemed relatively simple before trying to, you know, connect all these dots.
Meli
00:33:05.760 - 00:36:07.240
Such an important question. And I like, I feel like I preach on this all the time because it happens too easily.
And because I know a lot of astrologers, sometimes I'll just be talking to a friend and they'll say something and they'll be like, oh, yeah, that's my Venus in Gemini or whatever. And I'm like, does everything have to be because of.
It's fun, of course, to sometimes say that in certain situations, but when somebody does that repeatedly, I totally call it out. And I'm like, hey, can we. Can we just be like humans and not have that? There's not always.
Doesn't always need to be this reflection back to a specific thing that's causing the thing. Because if it's causing the good thing, it's also causing the bad thing. Then all of a sudden it's really easy to blame that thing. And then we're.
We're blaming Mercury retrograde, which Mercury's in retrograde right now, and we're all doing just fine. So. Well, I don't know. Questionable. Joel, I know you weren't doing so great, but you seem to be doing better. And so I don't know. It.
It's an outsourcing of power is what it feels like to me. And so I am not a fan of that at all.
And what I said before about how powerful astrology has been for me in retrospect is really honestly how I still practice it in my life now. I don't mind looking forward. I think it's important to be aware of when energies are going to be heightened or when, like, kind of what.
What's going to be popping off to be prepared so I'm not just kind of hit like a frying pan in the face like, whoa, what's going on? But I do not mess around with, like, specific predictions. I do not mess around with how I think it's going to exactly impact me.
I do, though, also like to use it to see, like, okay, if I know something major is going on, kind of like, I'm with my husband like 90% of the time, like, is it going to impact something on his chart? Because then I might know, like, or if I see that he's acting more.
Something sensitive or whatever, like, oh, I wonder if something's going on and then I can gain insight from there.
But I think you can go real crazy and like you said, use it as a crux for so many things, for personality flaws, for justifications of actions, for, like.
I think I've used this example before with you guys, but, like, the way people sit around waiting for their Saturn returns Blows my mind because they're in anticipation of something major that's going to happen. And then all of a sudden everything is through the lens of that. It's so much more than that. It's just one piece.
Maybe it was a catalyst, maybe it was bigger than it was for so and so over there, whatever. But I don't know, I think it just ultimately takes you out of your human experience.
And I like to say, like, I like to keep my eyes on the stars, but my feet on the ground because we're here. Like we're not meant to be like ascended floating about. We chose to be here in this body to be a human. So I think use it to the.
I love the axiom as above, so below to understand how interconnected we are to everything. But it's, it's not for me meant to be something that you then let take you over. Basically.
Yerasimos
00:36:08.040 - 00:37:04.720
Yeah.
There can be so much rationalizations and justifications for like shitty behavior and also like resigning oneself to like whatever's happening out there, you know what I mean? Like, it's like, oh, what's. It's Mercury retrograde.
So I'm just gonna sit in my room and do absolutely nothing, you know, Like, I just feel like you're giving power away to something external or some ideology out there as opposed to like claiming agency. But yeah, I think it's a great tool to like reflect because there's times where I'm like, this is odd. Like, why am I feeling completely different?
Why is like this pattern coming forward?
And then maybe I might hear I read something or an astrologer friend say something like, oh, okay, that's interesting to know, but not just give myself to that and then feel like, well, I can't have an awesome life during Mercury retrograde or during, let's say some more challenging transits. And I just think that's like ridiculous. Sure, you can come to a place of acceptance and like, yo, I'm still going to do my thing.
I'm going to live my life and ride the waves.
Meli
00:37:05.680 - 00:38:38.230
Totally. And with that example of Mercury retrograde, it's kind of funny actually. Like it would be a good time to be in your room doing nothing.
Because that's actually what Mercury and retrogrades are generally asking you to do is to slow down.
Right now we actually have six planets in retrograde and I have been intentionally slowing down more than ever before because I think that, I mean, you'll never know if it actually works to be in co creation with the stars if you don't fucking try. So the last few days I've had nothing on my calendar, which is the biggest blessing.
And I would literally research for this podcast today for an hour and a half. And then I literally would just go lay in the grass with my chickens pecking around me for. Until I was sweating.
And then I would come in, take a quick shower and go back to. And then I just. The fluidity of being slow, like that slow motion. When it is asked of you, you can typically see that in the stars.
And Joel just had this Mercury retrograde, as did my girl Maggie, who I just mentioned. And I said the same thing to both of you. I was like, I'm really interested to see how this impacts you. Pay attention. It's all about paying attention.
Because we don't really know actually what's going to happen.
But if you give somebody the counsel to pay attention, they're probably a little more likely to slow down and notice when like, oh, actually this could be a manifestation of that thing. So I like to really approach. I mean, if I had to use like one word, it's no, no, no accident that we named the podcast Celestial Curiosities.
It's curiosity. If you can just stay fully curious and open to what's available through this, it can really be magical.
Joel
00:38:39.920 - 00:39:22.200
Yeah, yeah, because it's interesting.
Like, I think to someone who has enough attunement to self, like, there's that natural impulse to slow down before any recognition of what's actually happening cosmically, you know, And I guess that's. That's very individual as well.
And it comes down to learning to honor yourself through all the different seasons of your life in that process as well. Because, I mean, recently there's no doubt that I've felt like a massive natural internal impulse to like, pull back a lot. You know, even.
Even when the parts of me come in, there's like, go do more. Keep creating. Don't be a bitch. Whatever it might be is like, I can't right now.
Meli
00:39:23.080 - 00:40:42.740
How many people, though, do you think hear that voice, push through and then end up with some sort of huge diagnosis or some sort of huge trauma or crisis because they didn't listen? And that's what you just said. How self attuned are we in these situations? And many are not.
And again, I think that astrology is one of those things where as soon as you start to see the pattern, if you just realize that the patterns are real, because all you have to do is look back at history. And that's some of what we're going to get into here today. Then all of a sudden, it becomes pretty hard to deny that there's something there.
And so then I think as soon as you kind of have that unlock of, like, okay, I can sort of see how this. Can see how this is affecting things, then you're more likely to play with it a little bit more in your life.
And then when those whispers come, maybe you're curious enough, like, sometimes Matt will just look at me randomly and be like, can you pull up my chart, please? Like, what is going on today? And sure as shit, like, some really precise thing is occurring that would be impacting him.
What we're gonna be looking at today is gonna be looking more at how the astrology can impact the collective, and you can really powerfully see astrology at work when we look at the historical significance of this stuff.
Joel
00:40:42.980 - 00:40:43.860
Let's go for it.
Meli
00:40:44.180 - 00:41:25.150
Let's do it. All right, cool. So you guys asked me to talk about the astrology of 2026, right.
So I'll give you a little breakdown of just how I'd like to go through it. Obviously, as you know, I like to teach as I go, so I speaking to multiple levels of people.
But I'll be keeping it, you know, simple enough that if you're curious, you can dive in further. And if not, you should still be able to get a lot out of today. So the psychological and evolutionary aspects of astrology are really more personal.
Right. So today we're not getting into personal. Though at the end, I've got a little. A little juice.
I can give you guys about kind of how 2026 might affect you a teeny bit more, but. Oh, my God, so excited. I'll be using the blah, blah, blah.
Yerasimos
00:41:25.150 - 00:41:28.070
Let's start there. Let's just do us for the rest of the conversation.
Meli
00:41:28.630 - 00:42:17.520
Wow, your eyes just got so big. But when we look at astrology as a whole, for the planet, we really need to focus on only three primary planets. That's Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
The three outer planets, they're called the outer planets, obviously, because they're the farthest away.
But they're also called generational planets because since they stick around in each sign for such a long time, they are impacting entire generations of people.
So when we think of baby boomers or gen X or millennial, and you start to think about the archetypes of those generations, you're seeing where those planets were at that time.
We're obviously not going to go through all of those specifically, but we are going to go through Uranus Neptune, Pluto, where they just came from and where they're going into. So we can have a little contrast and we'll have a little bit of a history lesson too. How does that sound, guys?
Yerasimos
00:42:17.830 - 00:42:18.710
Oh, sounds great.
Meli
00:42:18.870 - 00:42:19.550
Oh my God.
Yerasimos
00:42:19.550 - 00:42:22.150
We're setting the stage for the the rest of this podcast.
Meli
00:42:22.230 - 00:42:54.530
Oh my God, you're so welcome. That's what a good storyteller does. If you didn't know. Okay, very true. So I do want to mention one more, just a couple more basic things.
Again, astrology is really not meant to be viewed in a silo. Okay.
So a lot of the things I will say here are somewhat general, but it really, the magic happens when you look at it in your own chart and you really synthesize what's happening. For you personally, 2026 is not messing around, you guys. It is for as fast as have you felt like 2025 has gone very fast.
Yerasimos
00:42:54.770 - 00:42:55.970
It went very fast.
Joel
00:42:56.130 - 00:43:06.610
But I mean like what is that? Every year just seems to go faster. But is this just something that is happens with age?
Because I feel like every single person in my life growing up that was an adult was saying the same thing.
Yerasimos
00:43:06.690 - 00:43:29.530
Yeah, well, I know, I think it's because relative, like we get older and so our life is longer. So you know what I mean? Like a year, like when you're one, like I've only been alive for one year or five, like everything just feels like long.
But when you get, when it goes down the road, it's like a greater like smaller proportion each year of your total life. So I think, yeah, so I think that's why it feels faster. I mean.
Meli
00:43:30.170 - 00:43:31.210
Yeah, I, I agree.
Yerasimos
00:43:31.370 - 00:43:32.330
That makes sense.
Meli
00:43:32.810 - 00:46:39.560
It does make sense. When my father in law was still alive, I remember Matt and I having a whole conversation with him about it.
He was about 82, 83 or something and he was just like, he's like it just so fast. Like you know, when you're 82, like how fast does a year go?
And the day, you know, what's that quote like the days are short but the years are long or whatever. It feels very resonant. However, if you just think about, I don't know, for me this year has felt like accelerated, accelerated fast.
And the astrology basically since 2020, there's been so much talk about what was going to happen in 2020, then what that post2020 was going to look like. And in particular astrologers have been talking about 2025 and 2026 as major, major acceleration points for. And so whether jury's still out.
We'll have to see if it keeps feeling faster as we get older. I'm sure it will.
But if we look at the acceleration of humanity, if we're going to some of the stuff you're going to hear about today, that it harkens back to, you'll see sort of the flavor of what that acceleration can do to the entire population, basically. So those are the main planets that we'll focus on today.
I do want to mention though too fundamentally remember that there are 10 planets, 12 signs and 12 houses. When astrologers are speaking to planets, signs and houses, we are speaking to the what, the how and the where. Okay? So the planet is the what.
Meaning if we're talking about Mars, we're talking about action, aggression, frustration, motivation. We're talking about the how. And Mars is sitting in the sign of Gemini. Well, Gemini is very mind oriented, intellectual, fast moving.
So we start to just put these keywords together. And then when, if I mention houses, I'm talking about where there's different stages of our life.
There's career, there's relationship, there's romance, there's the deep esoteric work, there's all the different things. Right. So I mention that because those words will just kind of come out and I want to make sure that foundation is laid and.
Yeah, and then lastly, you won't hear me make any specific predictions because I do not have a crystal ball. None of us do. But it's fun to understand what the energetics might put at play. So here we go. The first thing we got to do is we got to look at Pluto.
Pluto, you might remember the hype 2023, 2024.
Pluto was moving from Capricorn into Aquarius and nobody could shut up about it because Pluto moves the most slowly, 248 year orbit around the zodiacs. So it takes it. Nobody will ever see a Pluto opposition or Pluto return in their lifetime because it takes way too long to go around.
And I say that in, in contrast to I mentioned the Saturn return. For example, Saturn only takes 27 and a half years or so to get around the zodiac.
So we all get to experience what that feels like when Saturn comes right back to the same place it was the moment we were born. Not the case with Pluto. So we are dealing with energies that nobody on the planet has ever seen before at this time.
So we've got to lay this foundation because Pluto comes in as a major player next year, but he's already made his transit into Aquarius. So Pluto was in Capricorn for 15 years. Capricorn. Joel knows Capricorn energy very well. If you could.
If you could pick two words for Capricorn, what would they be?
Joel
00:46:43.960 - 00:46:46.930
Stable, responsible, foundational.
Meli
00:46:47.570 - 00:50:28.000
You got it. Absolutely. Structure, authority, order, responsibility. Right.
I like to just throw keywords out so you can very quickly get the flavor and the frequency of that sign. So it was coming out of this Earth, very kind of cold, structured energy into Aquarius. Aquarius is the sign of. Literally, it's an air sign.
And it's all about innovation and technology and freedom and decentralization and vision. Totally different. Like, it wants to create and it's curious and it wants to do things in a different way.
And Pluto's and Capricorn's like, I want to do things exactly the way that they're meant to be done, period. So you can see how moving from one to the other is a little jarring. And we feel this energy change in a way that is the how.
Excuse me, was the Capricorn in the Aquarius. Now, Pluto is the what and what is Pluto? Pluto is the God of death.
We're talking about, like, deep regeneration, death, rebirth, the deep unconscious. We're looking at evolution, transformation, power, obsession.
So Pluto, while he's really far away and he's really small, rules some really, like, major things in our human experience. So what did we see happening then from that? Pluto in Capricorn was the death of structures.
We saw huge power structure, institutions, corporations, governments falling. We saw the shadow of authority. That's one that I shadow.
We're looking at the deep unconscious and all the bullshit around politics and corporations that we heard about over this time, that people were just getting hyped to. Some people were sooner, but this became a major thing in this Capricornian time. It's a breakdown of old foundational paradigms.
So what's a major one that comes to mind, of course, is the global financial crisis happened in 2008, which was just near the end of this Pluto in Capricorn phase. And then what came in 2009? Bitcoin. So this whole cryptocurrency thing that's been happening, I'm not going to say Pluto caused it.
I'm not going to say that it was, you know, the stars sprinkled it down. But this is a perfect example of how this archetype presents itself and what we're looking through.
So crypto basically emerged, right, as a reaction or an alternative to failing institutional struct. Very Capricornian. So now moving into Aquarius.
Note that there will be a lot of similarity in what I'm saying about Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini, which we're going to get into because every single sign is ruled by a planet and Uranus rules Aquarius. So a lot of the same keywords we're going to use for that. That means we basically have like a double scoop of this Aquarian Uranian energy going on.
You've also probably heard we're entering the Age of Aquarius or we entered the age of Aquarius. Highly questionable. These ages seem honestly kind of arbitrary as they were decided. They last for like 2100 or 2600 years.
So nobody really knows exactly. But we're. It's like in the zeitgeist that the Age of Aquarius is back among us.
And that means that all of these sort of thinking outside the box, this maverick revolutionary energy is strong. And how much more conversation have we seen around self sovereignty and on all the levels. Right.
Like every millennial wants to bake her own sourdough and have her own eggs from chickens in her yard. And. Right. Like we, we all want to take our power back, knowing that we ultimately have nobody to rely on ourselves but us. Right.
So that's a big, big theme on what we're seeing here, especially in the medical system.
Yerasimos
00:50:28.000 - 00:50:37.560
You know, seeing how people are losing trust in the medical system and, you know, subject. Subjects that could have never been like, challenged 15, 20 years ago are now being challenged. So it's interesting to see that as well.
Meli
00:50:38.030 - 00:51:33.050
Hell, yeah. And that. And then so, so financial, medical. Think of all of the shifts in homeschooling and like the institutional, you know, for how long now?
Like Matt, my husband, works in the university system and for years and years and years it's been like, why are we doing things the way that we're doing it? But they just keep doing it. How long is that going to go on for? Right. So interesting to see how that may continue to shift.
But these are some major structures. Right. So we're in the process of reworking old structures and we're moving into reimagin. Reworking would be very Capricornian.
And reimagining is really where we're at with this Aquarian energy. The last time that Pluto was in Aquarius was 1778 to 1798.
So for a quick history lesson, we're looking at the American and French revolutions at that time. Okay. Keeping in mind that again, revolutionary energy, those were obviously some major pieces. Are you going into the.
Yerasimos
00:51:33.050 - 00:51:36.690
I was just thinking in my head, Viva La Revolution. That's what I was thinking. Thinking about.
Meli
00:51:36.690 - 00:51:48.610
So what a good accent you just had there. That was. That was good. Venezuela, you know, Venezuela. I know people sometimes think you say Minnesota when you say it really fast, which is very odd.
Yerasimos
00:51:48.690 - 00:51:50.370
That's funny. You're from Minnesota.
Meli
00:51:50.370 - 00:53:20.160
Oh, yeah. You have me. How many times I've heard that. And I'm like, God, I have to slow. Say it slower. It's so funny. Could not be farther from Minnesota.
Okay, so before I move on to now, straight into 2026, I'll give a quick example of. Of how you then utilize what is happening here on this larger scale for yourself personally, because this is where the juice is.
So if you have any planets in your birth chart in Aquarius at all, then we know that Pluto is going to be an Aquarius for the next 20 years. You would want to look and see. And so both of you don't have any. Your Osmos, you have your south node at 21 degrees.
So that's probably going to happen in about 10 years. We talk about that later. But I've got my Mars at 8 degrees of Aquarius.
So in that example, look forward in my ephemeris and see that March of 2028, the God of death and this crazy transformation that Pluto brings is going to be sitting on my personal Mars, which is the God of war. What motivates me, what causes me frustration, what puts me in action mode. Those are two pretty heavy energies.
When we see Pluto and Mars come together, usually something catalytic is going to happen. So I put my hands up and I'm like, don't know what that's going to be. I'm not going to sit here from now until March of 2028 and wonder.
But you better believe that as I get closer, I'm going to get a little bit more intentional about the way that I keep myself grounded and that I'm prepared to pivot at that time. Right. So these are the ways that you would want to look in your chart to see how you could dive a bit deeper for your personal self.
Joel
00:53:20.240 - 00:53:49.440
Yeah.
Hey, one thing I wanted to chime in with, which is obviously worth noting in regards to the Pluto to Aquarius transition from Capricorn is the rise of AI as a massive signpost of that.
And I mean, even in terms of like, yeah, moving away from traditional systems, but then overly embracing, I guess, systems that maybe are dystopic or completely detached from reality in a sense, as the potential shadow of that too, 100%.
Meli
00:53:49.520 - 00:54:05.910
And that'll come up more also in the Uranus in Gemini, because Gemini rules communication. And so we've definitely seen the beginning of it and it's only going to get that much crazier. Was it you?
Your answer just shared the other day, like, somebody who married their, like, AI.
Yerasimos
00:54:06.310 - 00:54:14.709
Yeah, I shared it in, like, the tech thread in fot, like there they made their own AI thing and they were like, wearing something and it was.
Meli
00:54:14.709 - 00:54:23.470
Just so, so weird. Yeah, but like, that, like, we're gonna see so much more of that and like, for sure, like robots and whatever the else is coming.
Yerasimos
00:54:23.470 - 00:54:29.400
So I think I need to. Need to create my own AI Co host for the podcast. Just.
Joel
00:54:29.400 - 00:54:37.120
No, you know, I've been just sitting, just waiting for this comment. Like, it's so cliche. I was like, do I make the joke first? I'll just let him make it. And he made it.
Yerasimos
00:54:37.120 - 00:54:38.960
So you were thinking. So you were thinking it too. We're telling.
Joel
00:54:38.960 - 00:54:43.480
Yeah, but the suit was like, I feel like I've done that. It's okay.
Yerasimos
00:54:43.480 - 00:54:44.280
It's always fun.
Meli
00:54:44.760 - 00:59:04.740
Your eyes could not have rolled any harder when he said that, Joel. All right, moving into. And yes, telepathy is totally a part of all of this.
And that's going to be part of the Neptunian flavor, which we'll get into momentarily. Though all of this is actually quite related.
So first of all, all of our outer planets, the Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, are moving into air and fire signs. They've been sitting in Earth and water, so they've been sitting in this heavier damper, more solid energy, and now they're ready to take off.
We're talking combustion. Like, it's time to just speed everything up. Speed, ideas, innovation, consciousness. All of that is majorly about to take flight, if you will.
Literally the other major transits that are happening are Neptune is entering Aries and Uranus is entering Gemini.
One of my favorite astrologers, her name is Pam Gregory, she puts out a ridiculous amount of content and she totally looks like Prue from the Great British Baking show, which just makes me super happy. And she's also British, so I could listen to her all day. And I really enjoy her videos.
And she's been calling this configuration that we're going to get into today the big picture, because it's very, very unique. And it really is setting the entire tone for 2026, and that is that Saturn and Neptune are going to be exactly conjunct at zero degrees of Aries.
So let's unpack that real quick. We've got Saturn, he's like the disciplinarian, the grandfather, the very Capricornian. He actually rules Capricorn.
He's here to, like, really make sure that people are following the rules. You've got Neptune is this, like dreamy, mystical, like, rules, the fairies, basically, okay. Two very different energies.
But when they come together at zero degree of Aries, zero degrees is also known as the creator degree, super, super powerful, potent, like pure potentiality in the first sign of the zodiac, the initiator. We wouldn't have the seasons, we wouldn't have the spring. We wouldn't have the astrological calendar if it weren't for Aries kicking things off.
This Saturn, Neptune conjunction is the first time in 6,000 years that this has happened. So it's signaling a huge reset. And it's essentially you put those two things together, you can think of making dreams into reality, basically.
Now to what you were saying too, Joel. There's always a shadow side, of course, so you can get into delusions here. So to be careful which side you go onto.
But in the best way, if you are preparing intentionally for this time, then you have the huge potential to make things happen here for your dreams, which is really cool. So that's one major piece. And then we've got Uranus and Pluto trining each other. This is 120 degree relationship.
The last time that this happened was in the 15th century. We're talking Renaissance period. Okay. I can't get into every single detail of every single thing, obviously, but Neptune has to do with the arts.
So there's a very big potential for an art, kind of a big arts revolution here, which I love. And this is the Uranus, Pluto. Anytime that Uranus and Pluto come together in any way. So I just said trine is 120 degrees.
There's also oppositions and squares. This is all very mathematical.
Anytime, though, that they come into contact with each other in some way or into relationship with each other, we see breakthroughs, we see paradigm shifts. And in this case, we're seeing what's called a beneficial relationship or a soft aspect. Okay. Because a trine is like a blossom.
It's like making things kind of come to light in an easeful way. So it might not be as dramatic that we have a lot of going on. So who knows how it's going to show up?
But regardless, there's always something that comes forward. So we'll see what's being shifted here. So the last thing to note about this is all three of those planets or four of them.
Excuse Me, Neptune, Saturn, at that conjunction, which means they're right next to each other at that zero degrees. That is sitting at the midpoint between Uranus and Pluto. Exactly. On February 20th. And that has. Neptune comes to that Midpoint once every 500 years.
But it has. That any astrologer can find. Never happened in history at zero degrees of Aries. So there was an astrologer named Andre Barbeau.
He's French, so I hope I said that correctly.
Joel
00:59:06.180 - 00:59:08.060
Maybe Gerasimos for these perfect French accents.
Meli
00:59:08.060 - 00:59:09.860
Oh, yeah, could you. Was that.
Yerasimos
00:59:10.260 - 00:59:10.900
I'll pass.
Meli
00:59:12.340 - 00:59:52.480
I plead the fifth. He said that this was the beginning of. He was big into predictive astrology. I believe he passed in 2018.
But he had predicted the 2020 pandemic and all sorts of other things. And he. His quote was that it was a splendid relaunch of civilization.
That this time here, because he had looked this far ahead, this exact configuration that's so unique. And Pam Gregory, I love that she always says rarity creates potency. The less often something happens in astrology, the more potent it is.
So the fact that this has never happened and it's happening while all this other fucking shit's happening is like, okay, whoa, what are we about to see happen? I'm very curious.
Yerasimos
00:59:52.480 - 00:59:54.560
So starting, like, February 20th, you're saying.
Meli
00:59:54.720 - 01:00:15.200
Yeah. So that's when the exact conjunction occurs.
We're always playing with the energy as it's ingressing toward its exact point, and as it egresses slightly different energy, it's a little bit more like, building and anticipatory on the way in and then on the way out, it's like, okay, we're waning a little bit. We're kind of on our way out. The thing has started. But that is the exact. I always like to give the exact date, obviously, so you can.
Yerasimos
01:00:15.280 - 01:00:31.650
No, Melly, I'm curious, like, because you give the exact date and there's like, this most potent time, is that a good time for someone to, like, bring something into fruition on that day or start something, or if they have, like, an offering or they're going to start a business or. Or leave relationship or get into a relationship?
Meli
01:00:31.650 - 01:03:28.460
You know, I think if you are, like I said, making dreams into reality.
If you are like, you know, there's something your soul is meant to birth, and you're like, I've been holding off on this thing, or I. I dust off this idea that's been sitting on the shelf or whatever. But I really feel. I think if you felt. Feel really soul Led towards something. Not like I'm gonna fucking pretend something.
I mean, you could and maybe it'll work. But I think that especially if it's really intentional, this could be a crazy, amazing time to launch something for sure. Cool. Yeah.
Now Uranus and all these other things are still involved and there's some powerful energies. You never know.
But for me, like you're talking to the girl who hosted a transformational event in the middle of the solar eclipse on spring equinox this year, which some people were like, solar eclipses don't do anything then. And I'm like, no, do everything then go nuts. So take that with a grain of salt if you want, but. So we're gonna break each of these down briefly.
Neptune entering Aries. That's happening for the. For it'll be in there for 12 years. And that happens on January 27th. So the first half of next year is the busiest.
But again, setting the stage really for the rest of the year and for the next generation to come, which is crazy. So it'll be in Aries until 2038, 2039. Neptune is the God of the sea and horses and storms and earthquakes, all sorts of things.
But the astrology overlap really. Is there kind of in the boundless nature of the sea? Right.
Mysticism and spirituality and dissolution and illusion and delusion and the arts, like I said before too, this is all represented by Neptune.
So if we put it in Aries, the brave, courageous warrior that knows nothing but making relentless action forward and being very direct, then this is that fusion of that dream is becoming reality. Turning your ideals or your ideas into action. You're fighting too, because we're looking at the God of war in being ruled by Aries.
Is Mars the warrior? Aries is the warrior.
So we're looking at this fighting for principles, sovereignty, freedom, spirituality becomes an embodied, combative, maybe even expressive energy. And then we can be looking at things like heroism, sacrifice is a big Neptunian word as well. And like real mission led energy.
So a short glimpse of this, I would say a good example. This happened in.
We've had all of these guys have entered into their sign and then retrograded back into the sign before and are now about to make their final ingress to stay where they're going. So Neptune was in Aries for a few months earlier this year. And that's when we started to see the first no Kings protests.
I would say that that is a really good example of this energy. It's that Aries energy of action and the Warrior and fighting for an ideal and for sort of what you consider a movement that's important to you.
Okay, the shadow of this.
Joel
01:03:28.460 - 01:03:31.830
Please take that card down behind you. No kings, mate.
Meli
01:03:32.470 - 01:05:02.920
No kings. The shadow of this can be fanaticism and blind idealism. Right? We. This is something that we've seen a lot of.
And I think that a lot of that was coming from a few different places. But this sort of just like blind following of gurus having a lot of disinformation, people with martyr complexes.
Like, a lot of this stuff is very neptunian. And Aries, too, because they're taking that sort of action and taking it more blindly, if that makes sense.
We can also see mass delusion and hysteria. I feel like we've been seeing that for long enough so we're comfortable in that energy.
All right, so a quick just comparison to what Neptune felt like in Pisces, which is where it's been from 2011 until now. Neptune was at home in Pisces. Pisces is all about inner spirituality and disillusion, Mysticism, boundarylessness. Go with the flow.
We saw this rise right, in spiritual practices and yoga, astrology, all these kinds of things. And we also saw a lot of that blind following of people, these coaches who were just going to fix everything for you.
And you're like, I will be the delusional optimist. Like, show me the path and I will go. I'll just follow. And we'll see. And we see that that didn't go so well in many, many ways.
So now Neptune coming out of. Even though it was at home there, if you will, it was very flowy and surrendered. Now it's getting a lot more structure going into Aries.
Any questions about that?
Yerasimos
01:05:03.720 - 01:05:04.920
I don't. I'm just listening.
Meli
01:05:05.000 - 01:11:12.450
Word. All right. So the last time that Neptune was in Aries was 1861 to 1875. So I'm going to give you the short list of things that were going on then.
American Civil War, literal fight for the ideals of the north versus the South. I think now we're much more in an ideological landscape, left versus right and right. What people really believe in this landscape.
But obviously the Civil War was huge. So that's a big representation of this warrior energy in Neptune. And it's this idea, too, of like, dying for a cause. Okay.
That's a very neptunian flavor. Going through war and combat, which is Aries. We also had the abolition of slavery, which was a moral and ideological battle for human rights.
We had the launch of the New York Stock Exchange. That was a rise of, of speculative ideals becoming institutionalized wealth. Right.
So again, you're seeing like this sort of more, less tangible idea being brought into form. London's first underground railway. And then there was also the birth of the impressionist movement, which was a radical new art form at that time.
And it was challenging realism. And that's literally idealism expressed boldly. Boldly is a very Aries word.
So all of this deeply archetypal, you kind of get an idea of things that happened in the past. So again, we don't know what's going to happen coming forward, but that's what that energy is bringing to the table. We're move on to Uranus next.
So Uranus is the God of the sky. And I've heard before that he's also the God of thunderbolts and lightning. But then I realized that Jupiter holds a lightning rod.
And so maybe I've lied when I say that, but Uranus brings shock shocks. Uranus is here to shock the system. All of the signs also rule, excuse me, planets rule different body parts, and Uranus rules the nervous system.
So there is a disruption and energy that he brings. There's this sort of awakening innovation, higher mind, higher thinking. It's one of our air signs, and it is currently.
It did the same thing that I just said about Neptune, where it went back into Pisces. Now it's gonna go back into Aries. It's finishing its time in Taurus. And at the beginning of next year, it will move into Gemini.
It will move into gemini for good. April 27th. So like I said, beginning of the year, major moments.
On February 5, it starts to move toward Gemini, which means it's spending its last few degrees in Taurus. Well, Taurus represents what security, food stability, sustainability. And that's where it's been for the last seven years.
So when we think of things like literal fake meat and the regenerative agriculture movement and food supply chain disruptions that we've seen, A rise in environmental awareness, focusing on local sourcing. This is all very Tauren stuff that Uranus has brought to the forefront.
Now that it's done with some of that more earthly tangible stuff, we're moving into Gemini, where we're going to be focusing on a lot more of the mind communication stuff. One example I'll give also, it did enter Gemini earlier in July of this year until November, and then it just retrograded back into Taurus.
All of the aviation disruptions that we saw over the last handful of months. Those were widely predicted by astrologers because Uranus rules the sky.
And obviously our systems are literally based on technology and communication.
And so many times there were flight cancellations and all sorts of things that just shut down, stopped working, that caused chaos and cancellations and all these things. That was very like Uranus in Gemini. Okay, so obviously that's not going to become our new norm.
I think what is more likely to occur is we'll see major advancements in that space. But that was like a chaotic example of sudden Uranian like, oh, I came here to disrupt, to awaken, to shake shit up a little bit.
All right, so when uranus enters Gemini, April 27, 2026, Gemini, the sign of information, communication networks, education, media. We're looking at like lightning fast, non linear, more of that decentralizing energy and a lot more paradigm breaking.
Okay, so if we look at Uranus in Gemini historical periods, we have World War II, huge advances in aviation was like necessary obviously with what was going on, but there was that. There was in 1943, the development of the Aqua lung. Gemini rules the lungs.
When I said earlier that Uranus rules the nervous system, I meant to say Aquarius, the sign is technically what rules certain body parts. We had radar and radio advancements and then we had massive postal and intelligence network expansion during that time.
Before that we can pop onto 1858 to 1866 was previous time you had the pony express was initiated, which was like rapid communication across the US and the transatlantic telegraph cable. And you had a huge explosion of newspapers and literacy. And then even before that you had the discovery of Uranus itself happened in 1781.
This was just after the American Revolution. Again, Uranus was in Gemini when it was discovered, which was like its own groundbreaking thing.
So to give a flavor of all the kinds of things that have happened through history, I don't know what's to come, but. But something cool and major. I also have been wondering. I'm like back then there was also way less being like invented and happening.
So it's like now that we have so much happening fast all the time, and it's being spread, you know, information far and wide as quickly as it does.
Like I've been looking at people saying predictions of like, faster Internet and like all these things and I'm just like, God, it's like we already have so much. Like how much more? How much more? Apparently there's space for a lot more.
I don't know if you guys have any thoughts about what this all could mean, but I again, not making any, like, specific predictions. I just think it's fascinating to think what the hell else is gonna. But the AI falls under all of this, obviously. Joel.
Joel
01:11:12.610 - 01:11:30.960
I feel like we're less aware of like, groundbreaking inventions today because I'm sure there's so much probably constantly happening in the tech world that's just probably so, so complex and deep in the minutiae of that understanding that it's not like someone, you know, inventing the telephone or the radio or, you know.
Meli
01:11:30.960 - 01:11:31.320
Right.
Yerasimos
01:11:31.640 - 01:11:32.120
Anymore.
Joel
01:11:32.120 - 01:11:32.840
It feels like.
Meli
01:11:33.320 - 01:13:17.020
Yeah, no, I totally agree because some of these other things that I'm. I'm going to mention a few more things that happened and that were invented that were so. They were so major because nothing.
There was nothing like that. And it's like now it feels like there's so much. It's like, what more could there be?
But somehow like, you know, the Jetsons hasn't completely come to life yet. So like, maybe that's next. I don't know. All right, so now I want to start merging all of this together. So we've got Uranus, Pluto.
We've talked about that. And Uranus and Pluto are going to be making this 120 degree trine like I said.
But every single time that Uranus and Pluto have been in relationship with each other as a conjunction, right next to each other opposition square, something major has happened in that time frame because that conjunction or that square, these aspects, they last. It depends on timing, but they might last about a year or a few years, depending on how the retrogrades work. Here are some examples.
All the way back to 1450, we have the invention of the Gutenberg printing press. This is like inventor vibes. Uranus is huge inventor vibes.
And then when we're looking at Gemini, Mercury, the mind, writing, communication, understanding, perception. We're seeing these things merge and come together.
In 1595-1598, we had Kepler's sudden realization about planetary geometry and Galileo's early work that preceded him making the telescope. So this led to major leaps in cosmic understanding. In 1643-53, we had the English Civil War. We had this revolution of letter writing.
And in fact they used to call the servants that delivered messages little Mercury's, which I thought was really cute.
Joel
01:13:17.170 - 01:13:17.410
You.
Meli
01:13:17.730 - 01:15:39.300
And there was a huge rise of pamphlets and newspapers.
And then in the early 1700s, we had the early industrial revolution innovations and mechanical automation also then mid-1800s, we had the Communist Manifesto. We had huge extreme weather and crop failures, which I haven't really talked much about that. But there's a lot to do because Uranus is the sky God.
There's a lot to think about because it was also just in Taurus and that's Earth. If you think about some of the major flooding and things that we've had, fires etc. That's all very much considered related to him.
And if anything we think fires are going to be more because we're moving from Earth water to fire and air. I don't know. I feel like there's always weather shit going on and I'm not aware of. I feel like the half of it.
But that is said to be something that is majorly has to do with this as well. Besides that, the invention of the telephone also happened when Uranus was squaring Pluto back in 1876. So you get the idea.
There's a shit ton of stuff in the 60s the microchip was invented. That was the hippie era. Lots of protesting, sit ins. Think of the Beatles cultural wave. And then lastly 1969, the supposed moon landing.
Whether or not that happened, it was a huge leap in consciousness right. For humanity. So these are the kinds of things that that energy brings together. And oh, the Last one was 2011. The Arabs bring.
And when we see how social media driven that was bringing like the tech to the revolution and how quickly that then fell as that happened, that was like power to the people. Uranus in Aquarius is like sovereignty. We're taking it away from you. Bringing it back to me was another great example.
So if we look forward some things that come to mind for me are like smart cities. Right. Has been in the conversation question mark on that. What's gonna happen there? That's very. Uranus in Gemini.
Efficient communication, efficient technology and things being Gemini is also about short term travel like things that are close by to you. So smart cities are one. When I think about what's coming next for communication, interstellar galactic communication. Question mark.
More channeling more.
Joel
01:15:40.500 - 01:15:43.140
What comes to mind for me is telepathy tapes.
Meli
01:15:43.620 - 01:17:45.790
Totally right. That paranormal more like ooh, what's beyond the veil. This is all very much Uranus in Gemini.
And then when we look at that Neptunian influence too, it's. It's interesting how that's going to sort of work in conjunction with and then move things forward. It's really fascinating. And shadow themes.
I mentioned the nervous system and I. I want to pause here for a moment because I think this is some of the most practical information anybody can take from this. I mean I can list things all day long. And I think that that's cool to know those things.
But there is a huge capacity for nervous system overload with all of this. You're feeling the frenetic energy, right? Like whoa, we already, there's a lot.
And already people are saying they want less noise and want more like feet on the bare ground and want to get back to circadian rhythms and all these things. Our capacity within our nervous system is what we train it to be.
If we, if we put that effort there and we work with it, if not, we have the potential to go absolutely fucking crazy. So if I could give like any practical advice at all.
It's like if you choose to focus on the crazy, because crazy will go down, then that will be the reality that you create.
And I think that most of your audience, I'm not gonna say doesn't need to hear this, but like it won't be novel obviously, but this is like your big time reminder. Like if you already get outside in the grass every morning, well get out every afternoon too. If you already sungaze for 20 minutes, do it for 40.
Like whatever you're doing, I would double down. That's my plan. And to just do it slower, to do it with more intention.
Because all of this fire and air, it's going to motivate us as needed if we use it that way. But it's going to take us the over if we don't pay attention. So keeping ourselves grounded is going to be like numero uno priority for this time.
Is that clear, gentlemen?
Yerasimos
01:17:47.540 - 01:17:48.100
It is clear.
Meli
01:17:48.660 - 01:18:36.970
Okay, wonderful. I also want to mention that anybody who was born in 1981-1982, you will be experiencing your Uranus opposition here very soon.
And when that occurs, this is like a major identity awakening. This is like it happens around like ages 40 to 42ish, depending.
This is like that midlife crisis, like gonna go out and buy the Ferrari or lose my shit or gamble away whatever it is that you're gonna do. It's because your soul is asking you.
Uranus is knocking on the door to be like, yo, are you really showing up the way that you as a sovereign being are meant to? And if you're not, then it's gonna speak to you that way.
And if you are, great, there'll probably still be opportunity for you to leap forward in some way.
Yerasimos
01:18:37.450 - 01:18:42.300
So just 81 to 82. If I was born in 1980. So like that's just.
Meli
01:18:42.300 - 01:18:52.260
Yeah, your Uranus opposition, I could look it up. You were 80, so yours should have already happened, like, very. In the last couple of years.
Joel
01:18:52.740 - 01:18:53.220
Cool.
Meli
01:18:53.300 - 01:18:53.740
Yeah.
Joel
01:18:53.740 - 01:18:56.180
Your Erasmus's midlife crisis was studying a podcast.
Yerasimos
01:18:56.900 - 01:18:57.780
Yeah, it was.
Meli
01:18:58.580 - 01:19:01.220
I mean, you did pretty all right, man. Yeah.
Yerasimos
01:19:02.980 - 01:19:05.740
I'm riding the wave of this midlife crisis very well. I'll take it.
Meli
01:19:06.370 - 01:22:25.560
Crushing it. Crushing it. I love it. All right, so the.
The last kind of like finishing to synthesize the whole thing together and as just sort of a summary, right, we've got Uranus trining Pluto in these air signs. Last time this Happened was the 15th century Renaissance period.
And this is really associated with breakthroughs and paradigm shifts because it's a trine. This is like a blossoming, kind of a smoother energy.
And we should be looking at things like breakthroughs in consciousness, collective awakening, scientific discoveries, technological leaps, and just a massive creative awakening.
Something I wrote here that I think I meant to maybe put somewhere else, but a quote that I got from somewhere just, AI can mimic, but it cannot create presence. And we are so easily getting wrapped up in the AI stuff. And that's fine.
Like, honestly, I took like freaking 17 pages of notes from everything I was researching for this, and then I popped it into AI and was like, please make this make sense, because it's a mess right now and it gave some structure. Of course it's great for some things, but it is wild to see how quickly you can get swept away. Right? So we want to try to not do that.
Then we remember the Saturn neptune conjunction at 0 degree of Aries. It's the first time in 6,000 years that that's happening. It's crazy. So this is that creator degree. It's just insane creative potential.
This is a collective reset, making your dreams real, taking spiritual sovereignty and seeing this dissolution of outdated systems and the birth of new ones. So this is like that Barbo who said that this was a, you know, the. The whatever word I used. Collect. A splendid relaunch of civilization.
Let it be so for yourself. Put yourself in a position where you decide, what is it that I want and what is it that.
What are the dreams that I want to make real and ride the wave? Because I think it's gonna take you whether you like it or not.
And then the third layer is that the Saturn Neptune on that February 20th, activating the midpoint. Excuse me, that midpoint again, happens every 500 years, but has never happened at 0 degrees of Aries.
So Saturn, Neptune sitting just in between, perfectly in between Uranus and Pluto. It essentially is merging the energies of Uranus, Pluto, Saturn, Neptune. It's like a freaking.
And I already used the word combustion, right, but it's like, ready to explode. Everything I've talked about today, just this major moment. So it'll be really, really cool to see what actually happens.
A couple of other quick things I just want to mention that are aligned because it's always fun to see how other systems are aligned. I cannot speak to the shift happening in 2027 in human design. Gene Keys the whole cross of. Of planning going to the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix.
But, like, there's a lot of talk about how this leads into that, and I'm interested to learn more. I don't know if you have any comments on that, Erasmos, but a couple of other things to mention. Numerology. 2025 is a year 9.
It is a year of completion, and we're looking at 2026 as a year one. New beginnings perfectly aligns with everything we've talked about.
We're also going from a Snake year in the Chinese zodiac this year, shedding transformation, regeneration, death and rebirth into the Fire Horse. I don't actually know what element the snake was this year. Was it water Snake?
Joel
01:22:25.560 - 01:22:26.240
I'm a horse.
Meli
01:22:26.960 - 01:22:28.080
I'm a dragon.
Yerasimos
01:22:28.640 - 01:22:30.320
I'm a monkey. I'm a monkey.
Meli
01:22:30.320 - 01:24:17.070
You totally are a monkey. Of course you are. I love monkeys. But we're going into a Fire Horse year, which is all about independence, rebellion, passion.
Like, it's so cool to see how all these things sort of intertwine and then there's all sorts of other shit going on. But I would say if you think, like, creative Renaissance rebirth vibes, that is what we're going into. And it's really very cool.
And not every year is like this. Astrologically, if I haven't made it abundantly clear that this particular configuration we spoke to today is extremely unique.
So don't let it pass you by.
If you've been sitting around eating Ho Hos and Ding Dongs on your couch, watching reruns of Downton Hoes and Ding Dongs got kinky very quickly that you guys, stop it. Those are actual things. Lays potato chips. Okay, I'll get a little bit less.
It won't give you something to joke about, but if you have been just sitting around thinking, like, what the? Or maybe you haven't been thinking what the. But you somehow are listening to this now. Now, this is the time. Like, double down. Don't.
Don't waste yourself. Don't waste the energy. Don't waste the potential. Because it's.
This shit is always Happening anyway and like you will be able to look back retroactively and be like, whoa, that was that thing happened or cool. But like, can you imagine how much more you could have done if you just paid a little bit of attention?
And yeah, so that's all the general stuff I have to say. I, I do want people to really take this a step further and peek at their charts and see what it means for.
So I do have a very quick synthesis for the two of you, but I'll shut up for a moment and see if you have any questions, thoughts.
Yerasimos
01:24:17.550 - 01:25:03.860
Well, what I really want to focus on is that you brought up Downton Abbey and that's just an amazing, excellent show.
So, you know, leave the Ho Ho's and the Ding Dongs aside, but feel free to take it easy, sit in your couch and watch an incredible form of entertainment known as Downton Abbey. Six seasons, three television shows. Something Joel recently started watching and he, and he actually enjoys it.
So I just have to say, I know he was giving me shit for it, it, but I'm actually curious, I don't know if you talked about it like what was going on astrologically, even that during that time period.
When you think about the fall of aristocracy and the shifting that times like kind of Pre World War I, World War I, post World War I, you know, that whole thing. I'm curious what was going on there. Not saying that, you know, it off the top of your head, but interesting to think about that too.
Meli
01:25:04.180 - 01:25:20.950
It is super. Yeah. There's so many things I don't know all that off top of my head.
If I, if I took a moment, I could at least figure out some of the major planets or the outer planets.
But I have thought about doing a deeper dive into that because I just finished Downton like last month or something and you said three television shows.
Yerasimos
01:25:22.310 - 01:25:25.750
Yeah. So, yeah, six seasons of a show and then three movies after the show.
Meli
01:25:25.910 - 01:25:26.790
It's so good that.
Joel
01:25:26.790 - 01:25:27.750
No spoilers, please.
Yerasimos
01:25:28.469 - 01:25:29.710
No, no, no spoilers.
Meli
01:25:29.710 - 01:25:30.350
Nothing to say.
Yerasimos
01:25:30.350 - 01:25:35.270
And anyone that watches, like, don't research things because there's spoilers everywhere. So just watch the show. Okay.
Meli
01:25:35.910 - 01:25:47.570
And it's easy. I mean, I, I, I really binged that because I enjoyed it thoroughly and I don't like period shows, but I really enjoy it.
I've started watching it because of Maggie Smith because she's, she's amazing. The best.
Yerasimos
01:25:47.570 - 01:26:07.250
She's incredible in that show and it's just ridiculous how amazing she is. But yes, a lot of people say they don't like period stuff And I'm like, just watch Downton Abbey. It's different. It's. It's.
It's amazing ensemble acting. And anyways, not to. Not to go off topic, but, you know, it's good entertainment. Is really.
Can be very educational around about the human spirit and human relationships and.
Meli
01:26:07.640 - 01:26:08.240
No, totally.
Yerasimos
01:26:08.240 - 01:26:11.960
There's some pretty universal themes in that show that I think go pretty deep.
Meli
01:26:12.680 - 01:26:16.680
Okay. If you're sitting on your couch with Ho Ho's Ding Dongs and watching Beavis and Butthead. Better.
Yerasimos
01:26:16.920 - 01:26:17.720
Yeah, that's better.
Meli
01:26:17.800 - 01:26:20.280
Okay. You're welcome.
Yerasimos
01:26:21.400 - 01:26:40.840
Cool. So pretty much to summarize, it's a time of, like, rebirth, creation. Like, what have you been waiting for?
Like, get off your ass and make your dreams come true and push things forward in a way and. And live with more intention and take advantage of the. The energies of. Of 2026. Potentially.
Joel
01:26:41.640 - 01:26:42.840
Feels like it's always that time.
Yerasimos
01:26:43.560 - 01:27:02.180
There's always that time. But then again, also based on what we said before, like, there's not.
Because intuitively now, you know, I'm just gonna kind of like, sit on my button, watch Downton Abbey. I'm not going to write my book right now or I'm not going to, like, you know, go run the marathon.
But then there's a time where you're like, you know, I'm gonna go train for the marathon and run the marathon. So feels like 2026 is like. Like, you know, let's go.
Meli
01:27:03.940 - 01:27:18.020
Yes. And we should also expect the unexpected outwardly. Like, what is going to happen on a collective. On the collective stage. Just be ready. I'll be. Sorry.
Yerasimos
01:27:18.020 - 01:27:35.040
I was gonna say, hence why it's so important to do the inner work and to build capacity in your nervous system because it allows you to respond more appropriately to life and the things that come at you. You. And so you can handle the kind of. The resistance or handle the surprises much more consciously.
Meli
01:27:35.680 - 01:27:49.920
Correct. I couldn't agree with Joel Moore.
It's always the time to do all those things because really, don't sit around and wait for the stars, but when they're basically wanting to light the fire under your ass. Not a bad time to utilize.
Yerasimos
01:27:51.200 - 01:27:53.520
All right, cool. Enough of the general stuff. Let's talk about me.
Meli
01:27:53.840 - 01:27:56.810
All right, so I'll start with your OSMO house.
Joel
01:27:56.810 - 01:27:57.330
Thank you.
Meli
01:27:57.810 - 01:28:05.010
Of course. So based on your. Your rising sign, and you guys are. I'm gonna send you guys.
Joel
01:28:05.010 - 01:28:05.730
So bored already.
Meli
01:28:11.330 - 01:29:22.280
You too.
So I'm gonna share a link with you that you're gonna put in the show notes so anybody could go Grab this PDF that's going to give you an idea of, based on your rising sign, where to expect the impact acts of these movements, specifically the Uranus and Neptune, because there's always too much going on.
But based on everything we spoke about today, using your rising sign, we can see which house, which houses in your chart are going to be most activated. So where can you expect to feel some of this energy more strongly? And your osmosis, for you, as a Libra rising, it's always important to remember.
And if you don't know jack shit about your rising sign or you don't even know it at all, you do need your birth time to figure that out. But what we know about your osmos as a Libra rising is that he has a deep desire for harmony in his life. Oh, very good. Yes, that.
That kind of harmony. Sort of, but no more so actually relational harmony, partnerships and moving, like moving through life in partnership is so important to you.
So it's a big part of how you see the world and how you move through life. And you're welcome.
Yerasimos
01:29:22.280 - 01:29:22.720
Joel.
Meli
01:29:24.000 - 01:30:21.250
Yeah. What would you do without a man? I mean, honestly. Okay, so as.
As we move into this year, you've got a sort of a double scoop in that partnership area, because Aries rules your seventh house, which is the house of partnership and commitments, and that's where Neptune is going to be riding into. And then you've got Uranus in Gemini, which is your ninth house house.
And the ninth house is all about beliefs and learning and travel and philosophy and higher thinking. So you have some key themes then in how you approach relationships. There could be some shifts happening there because that's Neptune going in there.
There could be some dissolution. It's a big Neptunian word. Things just sort of fall off, water dissolves.
Neptune in particular, really helps to say, okay, this is just not it anymore. We're going to let that go. So if there are any relationships like that in your life, you might just see them exit stage left. We shall see.
Yerasimos
01:30:21.570 - 01:30:22.370
Interesting.
Meli
01:30:23.170 - 01:31:06.300
You might also have this ability to see partnerships more clearly for what they are, especially if they've been idealized in any way, because that Aries energy brings that in. So. Oh, no. Oh, yep. Eye roll over here, smiles over there. I could have predicted this.
And then these things I feel I already see very much in you because it's already how you live, which is wonderful, but just like a desire for more authenticity in your life and more independence also in that you're not too drawn into the partnerships because Aries needs time for self. Aries is very concerned. Does Joel need you? Is. It's a codependent relationship.
Joel
01:31:07.100 - 01:31:08.370
He could use some independence.
Yerasimos
01:31:08.450 - 01:31:10.450
Yeah, yeah, I'll use some independence. It's fine.
Meli
01:31:10.450 - 01:31:12.450
What are your attachment styles? Do you guys know?
Yerasimos
01:31:12.850 - 01:31:21.650
I'm. I'm secure and avoidant. Like, a little avoidant, but I. I definitely feel like I'm pretty secure. But then there's the avoidant is my. Is my.
Like, go to.
Meli
01:31:22.290 - 01:32:05.120
I. I might see that just a little bit. Okay. Just curious. Moving on. Your ninth house, there might be Uranus, Gemini, ninth house. Beliefs, learning, travel, higher learning.
How about maybe some unexpected opportunities to travel?
I know you travel a lot already, but studying and teaching, like, in something new, something expanding your worldview and opportunity in that space, that's where you might see some major shifts, because I know you. I know that you already like to learn a lot.
I know that you already do a lot of this expansive type stuff, so it'll be interesting to see if there's just another level of that, maybe something unlocking that you haven't done before, something that you've been wanting to do or. Or whatever.
Yerasimos
01:32:05.830 - 01:32:34.190
Well, it actually makes sense because I've been talking about this with people a lot. Like, I feel like.
Like, I hit a little bit of a plateau with a lot of the things that I've kind of especially really focused on the last, like, 15, 20 years. And, like, my life has taken a different direction.
I've been really focused on the garden and home and a lot more responsibilities, but, like, I'm feeling this itch to, like, expand and learn and grow, especially from an intellectual standpoint and, like, a very different way, you know, as we continue to, like, sharpen our swords. And so, like, I'm feeling that pull more and more.
Meli
01:32:35.060 - 01:33:00.770
I love that. Perfect. Well, that's the idea here. Honestly. The perspective is a big ninth house word. It's also a big Gemini word.
So, I mean, it's kind of like your perspective widening the horizon, just becoming, like, whoa. How many of these experiences can I take, and where do I want to go with this? I think you're going to have a lot more opportunity, so I love it.
Yerasimos
01:33:00.770 - 01:33:07.050
Well, Mellie, thank you so much for coming on the show. It's really amazing, everything that you shared. And is there anything else you want to leave our audience?
Meli
01:33:09.050 - 01:33:09.530
All right.
Joel
01:33:10.410 - 01:33:11.850
Massive dip in listenership.
Meli
01:33:11.850 - 01:34:24.970
Ebony right now. Everybody dropped off that minute. Whatever. All right, Joel, my friend, our Pisces rising.
You have Neptune entering Aries in your second house, and Uranus entering Gemini in your fourth house.
So as you know as a Pisces rising, you have this, this really fluid, intuitive, deep way of moving through life that's even heightened by your Scorpio, as we know.
And really what these two houses, we're looking at the house of security, stability and values in the second, and then in the fourth, we're looking at your literal home. Right. So this is like focusing on your resources. It's also finances, assets, all that kind of stuff and your foundation. So Neptune and Aries.
This is like money worth values. Right.
So, so if there's an opportunity to redefine your relationship with security shifts in how you earn or spending in alignment with your inner purpose, letting go of any outdated money stories, strengthening your boundaries around resources, and intuitive guidance around financial decisions. So this is really about aligning your values with who you're becoming.
And so anything involving the tangible asset, cash, property, finances type stuff and then the actual values behind it. What are you laughing at?
Joel
01:34:25.290 - 01:34:26.570
He's taking notes.
Yerasimos
01:34:26.650 - 01:34:28.130
I was, I was going like this.
Meli
01:34:28.130 - 01:35:43.690
Oh, I missed that. Very good. Okay. And then Uranus in Gemini, your fourth house, home, roots and foundation.
So this, I mean when we see Uranus making a transit in any house, this is where again we see major shifts.
So this would not be a time where I'd be surprised to see somebody move from home or make a massive change to a different place completely or have like massive changes in that, that fundamental family or something to do with like not even as much necessarily your nuclear family as perhaps like your generations before something sort of legacy related, if you will. And it can feel like a restlessness with your environment as well, that home environment, like really a desire for change.
So I don't know if that resonates at all, but maybe it will soon. You shall see. And this is sort of like both of these energies together, like kind of redefining what really supports you on the inside and out.
So if you out there listening are a Libra rising or a Pisces rising, of course if you have planets in those places, it's going to be that much more important. And you will have planets that aspect these things in some way, most likely. So this can be way more granular and detailed of an interpretation.
But this is at least a general start.
Joel
01:35:44.010 - 01:35:45.210
Thank you. Thank you.
Meli
01:35:45.210 - 01:35:45.770
You're welcome.
Joel
01:35:46.170 - 01:35:54.030
Appreciate that. Yeah, big changes in the home, I think. Think you know, Valley 7 now ready for her to go into the real world. Might have to kick her out next year.
Yerasimos
01:35:55.230 - 01:35:58.270
Yeah, just put a backpack on her and just tell her to Go explore the world.
Joel
01:35:58.350 - 01:35:58.750
Yeah.
Meli
01:35:58.750 - 01:35:59.870
Her soul signed up for this.
Joel
01:35:59.870 - 01:36:25.390
She was like, thank you, Bill style. Yeah. Thank you so much, Mellie. And I appreciate that.
That was very, very in depth breakdown, and I'm sure people are getting value from that, for sure. Mellie, for those that don't know, hosts a monthly applied astrology call inside our community, Friends of the Truth.
And she's very active in the telegram group there, too. Mellie, what's your favorite thing about Friends of the Truth?
Meli
01:36:27.150 - 01:36:27.670
I just.
Joel
01:36:27.670 - 01:36:29.150
Apart from me, obviously.
Meli
01:36:29.390 - 01:37:39.900
I mean, obviously. How do you do that? How do you roll your eyes? Oh, no, I guess it's just like that, right? Okay. I think. I guess I did it.
My favorite thing about Friends of the Truth is that it is the most real and unjudged judgy space that I've ever been in with, like, that many people. I mean, I don't know if I've said this to you out loud before.
I think I have, but there was one time, this was a couple months ago, that I think it was you. Joel and Zara were going back and forth in the geopolitics about, like.
And I'm like, never in the geopolitics channel, because it's, like, really not my vibe. But. But you guys were, like, really arguing, and I was like, oh, is this, like, a real fight? Like, what's gonna happen?
And then at the end, you're like, love you, sis. Thanks for giving me space to say what I wanted to say. And, like, everything was fine. And I was like, God, that is the most refreshing.
Like, that's all I want in my real relationships in life.
So to have a community where that is literally the vibe, like, you can say anything to anyone out into the, like, ethers and you're accepted, and people.
Yerasimos
01:37:39.900 - 01:38:01.700
Let people let each other be themselves as long as there's, like, respect and you're not, like, insulting and being rude.
And I just find, like, that's who we attract, the people that can, like, that, like, to dance in different worlds and kind of, you know, have discernment and are emotionally mature and can have conversations and are okay with people thinking things that, like, they don't maybe fully align with. And it's like, cool.
Joel
01:38:01.700 - 01:38:02.180
You do you.
Yerasimos
01:38:02.180 - 01:38:06.830
I love that for you do. I'm gonna do me. Because I love that for me. You know what I mean?
Meli
01:38:07.230 - 01:38:57.250
Precisely. Yep. It's a. It's a great place.
And I absolutely love, you know, even though we created the podcast, our podcast, from a place of just wanting to have a passion project, we the three of us who started it are all Sagittarius risings and have like a deep desire to teach. And that's something that we really wanted to help people learn astrology because it is so easily.
It's a lot more easy to learn and apply than it seems.
And that's why I called the call that are named the call in Friends of the Truth Applied Astrology, because I really want people to learn how to apply it in their lives. And to have that opportunity to speak to everybody is something that I'm so grateful for.
And if I'm being honest, that's one of my major favorite parts obviously too, that I. That I have the opportunity to do that because it's just such a special way to connect with people. So I'm super grateful to you guys. Advice.
Yerasimos
01:38:57.250 - 01:39:25.360
Yeah, no, of course we're grateful to you. And the application of it is so important. I feel like people can get lost in stuff that really don't, like, doesn't really relate to their lives.
And it's okay, you can allow like your curiosities and your imagination to go where it wants to go, but ultimately, like the things that you're learning, the things that you're taking in, like, can you put them into action? Can you apply them to your life? You know, is there a practicality to them? To a certain degree, of course.
To move the needle forward in your life and your self understanding and creating the life that you want and. And we definitely share that value.
Joel
01:39:25.600 - 01:39:38.560
So I appreciate it 100% totally, I guess. In closing, Meli, where would you like to direct our audience?
Obviously you have your own incredible podcast, Celestial Curiosities, but yeah, what else is on the table?
Meli

Yerasimos
01:40:32.860 - 01:40:36.220
Yeah, awesome people and a couple ding dongs.
Meli
01:40:36.220 - 01:40:37.420
Yeah, exactly.
Joel
01:40:40.700 - 01:40:45.460
Mellie, I know you're new back, but what happened to old Beck? Oh, my God.
Meli
01:40:45.460 - 01:40:46.780
That was. That's really good.
Yerasimos
01:40:47.020 - 01:40:48.860
Are you a dad? Oh, yes, you are.
Joel
01:40:50.060 - 01:40:54.150
We just got here. Like Biggie or Tupac.
Meli
01:40:55.270 - 01:40:55.670
What?
Joel
01:40:55.750 - 01:40:56.870
Biggie or Tupac.
Meli
01:40:57.510 - 01:40:59.630
Oh, Biggie. I'm a Biggie girl.
Yerasimos
01:40:59.630 - 01:40:59.990
All day.
Joel
01:40:59.990 - 01:41:02.070
It's disgusting. This episode's not coming out.
Meli
01:41:02.150 - 01:41:12.510
I'm. That's it. I ruined it. I'm sorry. It's just you and I actually don't. I feel like we don't fully align on our. On our rappers, which is. Okay, listen.
In true.
Yerasimos
01:41:12.510 - 01:41:24.430
In true Rising Libra fashion, I like both of them, and I feel like it's an integration of the east and in the west, and I value what they both brought to the table.
Meli
01:41:24.750 - 01:41:37.950
Ew. Stop. Please stop. I was actually a really big, big, Big Pun fan back in the day.
If somebody asked me a Biggie and Tupac, I would obnoxiously respond big Pun. But he doesn't actually. No, like, sit on the same level, so I know I can't really do that.
Joel
01:41:38.830 - 01:41:39.270
Nice.
Yerasimos
01:41:39.270 - 01:41:39.710
Yeah.
Meli
01:41:40.110 - 01:41:40.590
Yeah.
Joel
01:41:41.390 - 01:41:44.590
Cool. Well, everyone, thanks for listening.
Meli
01:41:44.910 - 01:41:46.270
That's it. Thank you so much.
Joel
01:41:46.270 - 01:41:49.790
Appreciate it. We'll see you next time. Take care.
What landed for you?
