Laura Matsue Navigating This Time of Transition
Laura Matsue walked herself to the brink of suicide before she learned to pray. December 2012 — detoxing from opiates and psychiatric meds, no healing in the systems she'd trusted, nowhere left to turn but God. What followed was a decade-long rebuild: yoga, meditation, depth psychology, shadow work with the body as the container. She deconditioning herself from the post-modern ideology she'd been raised in — the cultural Marxism, the identity politics, the projection dressed as activism. By 2016, she was speaking out. Got canceled. Called evil. The individuation initiation.
Now she and Bernhard Guenther guide people through the collective version of what she survived alone. Conversation moves through embodied meditation vs. spiritual bypassing, cataclysmic evolution when you ignore the whispers, the US Pluto return as collective dark night, the dying world vs. the seed of the new, and will as the daily spiritual practice most people are missing. The ground has never been more fertile. The question is whether you're willing to plant something.
- Rock bottom as turning point Laura's decade-long dark night — music journalism, drugs, psychiatric meds, suicidal ideation. December 2012: detox from opiates and psych drugs, prayer to God, first synchronicities. The healing she needed wasn't in the existing systems. Yoga, meditation, and depth psychology became the daily practice that rebuilt her life from the ground up.
- The body as shadow container Meditation unlocks what's been suppressed — ancestral trauma, past-lifetime wounds, unprocessed emotions held in tissue. The body is the gateway to enlightenment (Buddha's teaching). Embodied practice means arriving into your human experience, not astral-projecting out of it. Semantic holds the backlog; spiritual bypassing avoids it.
- Deconditioning from post-modernism Laura grew up Canadian liberal-progressive — punk rock hippie, anti-authority, anti-mainstream. Read feminist authors, blamed white men and corporations. Family constellation work revealed her activism was informed by unhealed ancestral trauma (Japanese internment camps, WWII racism). She started questioning everything. The ideology collapsed. By 2016-17, she was speaking out against it — got canceled, called evil and white supremacist. The initiation into individuation.
- Spiritual ego as new trap Everyone replaces their regular matrix ego with a spiritual one. The weird spiritual avatar. The special lightworker identity. Another layer of deconditioning. The point is to arrive at being a real human — not adopting a persona, just being yourself. That's actually the hardest thing to do.
- Individuation as the non-negotiable You can't skip the individuation process on a spiritual path. This moment is highlighting that. If you can't think for yourself and be your own person, your sense of self will be conditioned by culture. Ruthless self-inquiry: What do I believe? Why? What do I value? Why? What am I doing with my life, and why? Most people don't want to be honest because opening that can of worms can rearrange everything.
- Cataclysmic evolution vs. conscious evolution Pluto's pattern: suppress the evolutionary voice for a decade, and it shows up as an outer cataclysmic event. The partner who walks through the door and says, 'I'm leaving you.' The collapse you could have chosen earlier. Laura's Pluto-on-sun signature: an evolutionary force hunting her down. She made the conscious decision to act on the whispers daily — open to change every single day — rather than wait for the blow-up.
- US Pluto return — collective dark night Second-eighth house axis: survival and resources. Economic struggles, inflation, job loss, survival mode. Corruption exposed in government and power structures (Jeffrey Epstein case as potential domino). Banking and health system overhaul. Constitutional crisis — the core values of the United States are changing. Mass trauma possible with Pluto in Aquarius (2023+). Also: mass individuation. Worldwide revolution. The consciousness of the people creates the chart.
- The dying world vs. the seed Dane Rudhyar's teaching: you either identify with the dying world or the seed of the new world wanting to birth itself. A lot of people trying to fix the government, fix the system — but the ship is sinking. The new world is already organizing: underground networks, homeschool pods, alternate education, Telegram, black-market eggs. Legacy systems (education, mainstream medicine, legacy media) are collapsing. Sovereignty means jumping now.
- Will as the central practice The will to do something. Laura studying a contemporary of Jung who emphasized will on the path. Personal will first: you know what needs to be done — are you going to do it or not? Some people learn will through desperation. Others have it naturally (creative types). But the will needs to be engaged. Even reading a book for an hour without checking your phone. Attention is precious. The will to make a different life has to be there.
